The Cream Legbar is an auto sexing type of chicken; that means you can tell the sex of chicks at hatch. The males are a lighter colour and have a pale dot on their head, and the females are a darker colour with a dark brown or black stripe on their head. Cream Legbar hens are blue egg layers.
The Jersey Giant is a rare breed of poultry. They are a large breed. The cock can weigh anything from 6kg up to 13lbs; the hen weighs between 5kg and 11lbs. Jersey Giants are a slow growing bird and come in a variety of colours - black, blue splash, blue laced and white. They lay extra large brown to dark brown eggs, and lay fairly well for a large breed. The Jersey Giant is a very friendly breed and are good with other pets and people. The cock is rarely aggressive.
The Orpington has a heavy broad body with a low stance. They can weigh up to 7 to 10lbs and have soft and fluffy feathering, making them look distinctively large. Opringtons lay around 175 to 200 medium to large light brown eggs a year, and do not stop laying during the winter.
Rate Mottled Orpingtons
This poultry breed is a large bird - males can get up to 10lbs, and females 8.5lbs. They are a very docile bird, and good with other breeds. They lay light brown eggs. The Rate Mottled Orpington is an English breed, and lay around 175 to 200 eggs a year.
Silver Laced Wyandottes
The Silver Laced Wyandotte has yellow feet, and a rose comb. Males get up to 8.5lbs and females around 6lbs. They lay around 240 pale-brown or tan eggs a year, and are a medium-sized bird.
The Wheaton Maran is a medium-sized bird, and is generally quite a docile chicken, they tend to be tough and disease resistant. They lay around 150 dark brown eggs a year.
